Public Meetings


Public meetings are a part of KDOT’s commitment to transparency and accountability under the IKE program. During these meetings, Kansans are able to view exhibits and project information, provide input and speak with project staff.

If there are projects with upcoming public meetings or surveys open for public comment they will be listed below. Project descriptions, exhibits, opportunities to provide comments, recordings from previous public meetings, and other project details may be available on a project's dedicated page.

  • Agenda - The public was invited to attend a public meeting for the U.S. 56/U.S. 283/U.S. 400/2nd Avenue intersection improvement project just south of Dodge City on Tuesday, May 17, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Dodge City Public Schools USD 443 Civic Center VIP Room, 2112 1st Avenue, in Dodge City. The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) hosted the event. The meeting allowed attendees to review the proposed intersection improvements, provide input and speak one-on-one with project staff. There were no formal presentation, and attendees could come and go at any time during the meeting. This project is currently in the design phase. Information presented at the meeting has been made available online for those unable to attend. The public is invited to submit comments online beginning May 17 through May 27.
